PeLoHa in Hout Bay 1981 – 2022
PeLoHa used to offer spaces for use to all seekers.
One hall, having been consecrated to the nameless One of a thousand names,
was a place of silence, meditation, communion and/or prayer used by the members of Heart of AND and all those seeking Peace Love and Harmony.

The Tree Hall
This intimate, light and spacious hall was designed to accommodate different traditions and practices.
The wooden floors and large sliding window-doors opened wide to the surrounding mountain views & green tree-filled gardens, creating an intimate space of ‘home’ and holding: It was an invitation to be spacious and free.
The Tree Hall, being attached to the fully furnished cottage, had its own private & tranquil garden with water features.
The Earth Hall
The bottom hall consisted of 2 parts, it was ideal for groups who wanted to feel contained and not distracted by the outer world. Surrounded by greens, the windows used to stream in soft light supporting the feeling of being held.
The front part used to lend itself for sharing teas and meals.
This hall was used mainly by the members of the Heart of AND for their sessions and holds a fond memory by the hundreds of seekers who sat together in remembrance of the One.
Mountain Hall
The MOUNTAIN hall was never a a ‘facility for use’: It was open to all who wish to retreat to stillness. It was dedicated to silence, meditation and prayer.
Spacious Grounds
For decades, the land had been cultivated, nurtured and transformed into the beautiful and lush green gardens, waterfalls and ponds of Peloha.
The landscape, forest walks and scenery effortlessly used to draw one inwards, creating ideal settings for times of quiet contemplation and connection.
